SBE16 Manila Conference: Sustainable Built Design

The SBE16 Manila Conference will be held on July 13-15, 2016 at the Acacia Hotel, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Sustainable Built Environment

The SBE16 Manila Conference is part of a worldwide series of conferences on Sustainable Buildings,with support from four international founding co-sponsors,namely: International Council for Research  and Innovation  in Building  and  Construction (CIB); International Initiative  for a Sustainable  Built Environment (iiSBE); United Nations  Environment Programme–Sustainable Building and Construction Initiative (UNEP-SBCI); and FIDIC, the  global association of  consulting  engineering  firms.

In the Philippines, the local steering committee is composed of the top academic heads from the University of the Philippines’ College of Architecture, College of Engineering and School of  Urban and Regional Planning.

With the theme “Sustainable Built Design,” SBE16 Manila Conference aims to inspire, mobilize and build capacities of professionals and stakeholders towards a more sustainable built environment. For your reference, following are key topics that will be discussed:

1. Sustainable Buildings Infrastructures, and Communities
2. Energy Efficiency and New Sources of Energy
3. Water Efficiency and Management
4. Materials and Resources
5. Disaster Risk Management and Business Continuity Planning
6. Governance and Regulation

Distinguished guests of the conference include Hon. Rogelio L. Singson, Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways as keynote speaker and other prominent international experts in fields of engineering, architecture and urban and regional planning.

The first two days of the conference will be plenary and parallel sessions. The third day will be Master Class Sessions.
